59th Annual Commencement - Class of 2025

All August 2024, December 2024 and May 2025 graduates will be honored at the 59^th Annual Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the Rosemont Theatre 5400 N. River Road in Rosemont, Illinois. Graduates need to arrive by 1 p.m. Theatre opens to the public at 1:45 p.m. Doors close at 2:45 p.m. Seating will end promptly at 2:50 p.m.

When do I have to submit my Application for Graduation?

The Aug. 2024 Application for Graduation deadline was June 15, 2024.

The Dec. 2024 Application for Graduation deadline was Sep. 15, 2024.

The May 2025 Application for Graduation deadline is Feb. 15, 2025.

*If you missed the August 2024 or December 2024 graduation application deadlines, please submit a graduation application for May 2025.

Do I have to attend the Commencement Ceremony?

While we encourage you to participate in the graduation ceremony, attendance is optional.

How many tickets will I receive? When and where do I pick them up?

Each graduate who participates in the ceremony will be given six (6) tickets for their family and guests. All guests ages 2yrs and older will require a ticket. Tickets will need to be picked up between Monday, May 12 and Thursday, May 15, 2025 at the Follett Bookstore.

Bookstore hours are:

Monday-Tuesday: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Wednesday-Thursday: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Friday-Sunday: CLOSED

You must present a valid state ID or driver’s license.

What time should I or my guests arrive for the ceremony?

Graduates need to arrive by 1 p.m. Theatre opens to the public at 1:45 p.m. Doors close at 2:45 p.m. Seating will end promptly at 2:50 p.m. Be sure to give your guests their tickets in advance. Balloons and baby strollers will not be permitted inside the theatre. Graduates will not be allowed to carry purses, bags or other personal belongings during the ceremony. Please give these items to one of your guests prior to checking in.

What if I have more family and friends that want to attend the Commencement Ceremony?

The Commencement Ceremony will be live-streamed so your family and friends can share this memorable moment with you from the comfort of their own homes. A link will be provided on the Triton Website on the day of the ceremony.

Additional tickets *may* be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Follett Bookstore on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. A maximum of two additional tickets may be requested, subject to availability.

Where do I park? Do I need a Parking Pass? When/Where do I get one?

As parking spaces are limited at the Rosemont Theatre, each graduate is issued ONLY one parking pass to enter and park in the Rosemont Theatre parking lot. Parking Passes will need to be picked up between Monday, May 12 and Thursday, May 15 at the Follett Bookstore. Bookstore hours are:

Monday-Tuesday: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Wednesday-Thursday: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Friday-Sunday: CLOSED

Attendee Parking (Family, guests and graduates without parking passes)
FREE PARKING will be available in the parking garage south of the Rosemont Theatre on N. Wesley Terrace.

Parking validation will be provided at the main lobby of the Rosemont Theater.

When and where do I order my cap & gown?

Caps & gowns will be available for purchase at the Follett Bookstore from Tuesday, March 25, 2024 through Wednesday, April 30, 2025 for $45.51 (taxes included).

A $20 late fee will be added if purchased on or after May 1, 2025.

DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE! In-stock items are limited and special orders may take several weeks to arrive.

I have a Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, will I receive an honors medallion?

An Honors Medallion will be included with your cap and gown order if you meet the following Cumulative Grade Point Average requirements (the average GPA across all of your semesters at Triton College):

High Honors Gold Ribbon Medallion
Associates Degree – Cumulative GPA of 3.75 to 4.0

Honors Red Ribbon Medallion
Associates Degree – Cumulative GPA of 3.50 to 3.74

Honors Blue Ribbon Medallion
Certificate – GPA 3.50 to 4.0

I am a member of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society, how do I order my stole, cords and tassel?

PTK Stoles, Cords and Tassels are available for purchase through the PTK Member Portal.

Can I draw on or embellish my cap?

You may embellish the top of your cap as long as it is tasteful. Offensive words or images will not be permitted in the ceremony and a new cap must be purchased on-site for $10 each, cash only.

When will I receive my degree or certificate?

Your diploma or certificate will be mailed to you 6-8 weeks after your last date of attendance. Graduates participating in the Commencement Ceremony will receive an empty diploma cover on stage for photo purposes only.
