This training program is designed for people who are interested in learning bookkeeping for both personal and professional development. Medicar Driver/Attendant
COURSE
EMS E31 - Medicar Driver/Attendant Training
Course Description: This program prepares students to become certified medicar operators and attendants. Topics include proper loading and securing techniques, vehicle lift operation, legal documentation and compliance. An emphasis on patient care during transport including a general overview of disabilities, first aid review, escort priorities and special transport considerations will be included. At the conclusion of this course students will sit for the NEMT Driver/Attendant-Certification-D/A-01 examination.
Tuition: $179
The training program, offered through a partnership with Medicar Safety, is designed to target primary instructional areas of non-emergency transport requirements. Working from a text manual, participants will also experience visual reinforcement with actual training examples demonstrated through a step-by-step video presentation.
Medicar Safety's video productions are specialized and focused on all aspects of safety related issues and client care factors. Participants in the program can expect to observe and learn the following through this presentation:

Course Description:
Podcasting is a great way to establish credibility, promote your brand, and ultimately get your message out to the world. The personal and intimate nature of the audio medium allows you to build a strong audience or use as an outlet for creative energy. Led by a podcast pioneer, this course walks you through the necessary steps to build a podcast. Participants will learn how to create their own podcast from scheduling, editing, publishing and marketing. Students will use a hands on approach to create their own podcast by the end of the course.

Spanish Language Interpretation
The need for Spanish language interpreters is expected to continue to experience growth for the foreseeable future. To meet this growing need Triton College's School of Continuing Education is now offering a Certificate in Spanish Language Interpretation.

Job Outlook/Salary Expectation
The outlook for Event & Wedding Planners is excellent. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, www.bls.gov, employment of Wedding Planners is projected to increase by 20 percent between 2009 and 2016, a rate faster than the national average for all professions.

Course Description: Do you have an eye for detail and design? Do you like to organize and plan for parties and events? If so, this is the class for you. A wedding and event planner has a very important role in the planning of a special day. There is much to learn in the way of planning, budgets, working with vendors, contracts, revenue channels, not to mention keeping up with the latest trends in fashion, color choices and even wedding design. This is a course designed for students looking to get started in the glamorous and exciting event and wedding industry. This class covers everything an event and wedding planner needs to know, including contracts, etiquette, flowers, music, day of services, marketing, industry business practices and application. This program will provide students with all of the tools necessary to become a professional event and wedding planner.
